Breach is a type of map encounter. Interacting with a Breach will create an expanding tear in the fabric of reality, causing demons to spill out into the world.

Mechanics

Breach monsters can only be seen and damaged inside of the expanding Breach. The Breach will continue to expand for a specified duration before closing in on itself. Defeating more Breach monsters will keep the Breach open longer.

Killed Breach demons and interactable objects called Clasped Hands found inside the Breach can drop Breach Rings, Breach Splinters, Breach Precursor Tablets and Catalysts. The quantity of Breach Splinters dropped scales with map tier.
