A Lost Tower (sometimes referred to as a Precursor Tower) is a node on the Atlas that can reveal a large area on the Atlas around it once completed. Additionally, after traversing it successfully, tablets can be inserted into a tower to influence, i.e. add additional map mechanic encounters to, surrounding maps. If multiple towers are close enough together it is possible to overlap a single map with several tablet effects.

Each tower can grant the effect of only one tablet, and cannot be further modified or replaced once activated. Each tower can only be used once.
