Towers (sometimes referred to as Precursor Towers) are nodes on the Atlas that can reveal a large area on the Atlas around it once completed. Additionally, after traversing it successfully, precursor tablets can be inserted into a tower to add additional Encounters to surrounding maps. If multiple towers are close enough together it is possible to overlap a single map with several tablet effects.
Each tower can grant the effect of up to three tablets, and cannot be further modified or replaced once activated. Each tower can only be used once. The number of tablets you can insert depends on the number of modifiers on the waystone used to clear the tower map:
- 0-2 modifiers: 1 Tablet
- 3-5 modifiers: 2 Tablets
- 6+ modifiers: 3 Tablets
