Map overlay
The Map overlay is an element of the interface which overlays the game with a map of the current area. The map will gradually be revealed as the area is explored, with any unexplored areas being marked with a blue line.
The Map overlay has markers for:
- Area exits
- Waypoints
- NPCs
- Stash
- Reforging Bench
- The Well
- Checkpoints
- Many Points of interest
Most of these locations only appear on the map once found. The Light radius stat can affect how close you have to go to a location for it to appear on the map.
In endgame maps, Rare and boss monsters are shown on the overlay once the area has less than 200 monsters remaining.
Pressing the map key will toggle the map on or off, which also toggles the Corner map, a smaller version of the overlay in the top right corner.
The options menu has the following options in the Interface tab:

This toggles names above marked locations on both the Map overlay and Corner map. It also affects the names of NPCs and Waypoints. |
Hide Map Overlay Mods | ![]() |
This toggles whether modifiers for the current map are listed in the top right corner. They are only visible when the Map overlay is toggled on. |
