Expedition Artifact
Expedition artifacts are a type of currency used to trade with Expedition NPCs after Expedition encounters. Each NPC specialises in a specific type of artifact and offers incremental crafting upgrades or unique items in exchange.

Exotic Coinage: Used to reroll the inventories of Expedition NPCs.
Usage
Expedition artifacts are essential for interacting with Expedition NPCs. Each NPC specialises in crafting upgrades or offering item types tailored to different aspects of your character:
- Gwennen: Focuses on one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, foci, and quivers.
- Tujen: Offers jewellery (rings and amulets) and belts.
- Rog: Provides armour and shields.
- Dannig: Allows the exchange of
Sun Artifact for other types of Expedition artifacts.
Acquisition
Expedition artifacts can only be obtained during Expedition encounters. They are earned through:
- Runic monsters: Found while fighting enemies during Expeditions.
- Excavated Chests: Unearthed after detonating explosives in an Expedition zone.
Incremental Crafting Upgrades
Expedition artifacts fuel incremental crafting upgrades, a mechanic shared by three of the Expedition NPCs: Gwennen, Tujen, and Rog. These upgrades allow players to enhance specific item types gradually by adding modifiers or improving existing stats using the Expedition Crafting system.
