The Riverbank is the first area of Act 1 and is connected to Clearfell Encampment. It is also the first area in the game and contains several tutorials.
Layout
The Riverbank is a linear area with a few larger clearings containing trees.
The player's character will start near the river, with a nearby normal default starting weapon depending on the player's class. A tutorial will appear to equip this item once picked up. They will also begin with two Lesser Life FlaskLesser Life FlaskRecovers 50 Life over 3.00 Seconds

When the loses approximately 25% of life from enemies, a tutorial to use a life flask may appear.
A Large Chest containing a class-dependant skill gem lies further along the riverbank. A tutorial to equip skill gems will appear once picked up.
The area introduces checkpoints.
Upon approaching the last section of the area, the player will encounter the Bloated Miller, the tutorial unique boss that must be killed to access the first town.
