'''Culling strike''' (also known as '''culling''' or '''cull''') is a property that causes [[hit]]s to instantly kill enemies that are below a certain threshold of [[life]] based on their [[rarity]].

==Mechanics==
Culling strike is an on-hit effect that automatically kills the target if their life is brought below a certain percentage of life after receiving damage from that hit. A hit cannot cull if the damage kills the target. [[Damage over time]] cannot cull.

A hit that is [[evaded]] or [[dodged]] cannot cause a culling strike. Culling strike ignores any other source of [[damage mitigation]]. Culling strike ignores [[energy shield]].

Certain monsters with scripted death animations cannot be culled. 

The effect of culling strike is not considered dealing damage to the target, and will never count towards [[overkill]] damage. A hit does not need to deal damage to cull.
