Metadata
Item class: Skill Gem

Summon Infernal Hound is a minion skill granted by the Infernalist ascendancy notable Loyal Hellhound that allows the player to summon a Hellhound that ignites enemies and redirect a portion of damage taken by the player onto itself.

Mechanics

Summon a Reviving Infernal Hound which Ignites enemies near it. The Hound takes a portion of damage from Hits for you.

Skill functions and interactions

Damage Redirection: While the Infernal Hound is alive, 20% of damage taken by the player from Hits is redirected to the Infernal Hound. This property is granted by the Loyal Hellhound ascendancy notable.

Ignite Aura: Minions Ignite Enemies within a radius of 1.5 metres as though dealt Base Fire Damage equal to 20% of Minion's Maximum Life.

  • This is identical to the effect granted by Infernal Legion without the drawback of taking 20% of Maximum Life in Fire Damage per second.
  • Summon Infernal Hound can be supported by Infernal Legion, but this grants no additional benefit and adds the side-effect of the Hound taking Fire Damage per second.
  • Meat Shield does not decrease the Ignite damage which makes it a highly recommended Support gem.
  • The area of effect can be scaled with Magnified Effect and passives that scale Minion Area of Effect.
  • Fire Exposure support will cause the Ignite Aura to inflict Fire Exposure on affected enemies.
