Early Access refers to the period of Path of Exile 2 between the first release of the game for public download on November 15, 2024, to the official release of the game in Version 1.0.0.

Eligibility

In order to play Early Access, players had to redeem a key on the official website that can be obtained through a few methods:

  • Have spent a total of $480 USD equivalent or more on microtransactions on an account at any point during the lifetime of Path of Exile[1]
  • Purchase the X tier or higher Supporter Pack launched prior to the release of Early Access

Random keys may also be given away throughout the Early Access period.

A PC, Xbox Series X, or Playstation 5 is required to play.

Major features

Early Access will release with 3 Acts and a modified version of the endgame system.

6 character classes (Warrior, Mercenary, Ranger, Monk, Witch, and Sorceress) and 1 ascendancy per character will be initially available at the start of the game.

Additional classes, ascendancies, and act and endgame content may be released in subsequent patches leading up to the official release.

Previously purchased stash tabs and microtransactions from Path of Exile 1 that are compatible with content released in Path of Exile 2 are automatically applied from the start of Early Access.
