This template displays a notice that the page or section it appears on is the subject of a split proposal.

==Usage==
This template should be placed at the top of a page or section when it is suggested that portions of it should be split into one or more other pages. If they already exist, the other pages should use {{tl|merge portions from}}.

The page this template appears on will automatically be added to [[:Category:Proposed splits]].

The names of up to ten other pages can be given using the first through the tenth unnamed parameters.

To indicate that portions of a section should be split into another page, place this template at the top of the section and use <code>|section=yes</code>.

A reason for the split proposal can be given using <code>|reason=</code>. It is not required, but it can be used to provide context at a glance.

It is good practice specify the date of the split proposal using <code>|date=</code>.

Use <code>|talk=</code> to display a link to where the split proposal is discussed. To link to a section on the page's own talk page, use <code>|talk=Section title</code>. To link to a section on another talk page, use <code>|talk=Talk:Other page#Section title</code>.
