Sanguimancy

Sanguimancy is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Blood Mage that causes the player's casts to cost Life equal to the amount of Mana they require. It also grants the Skill 
Life Remnants.
Mechanics
When taken in conjunction with Blood Magic or Lifetap, the skill will no longer have a mana cost but will instead cost twice that amount as life cost.
