Minions are allies summoned or raised by the player's skills, effects, or buffs. Minions do not benefit to modifiers to the character's offences or defences, only modifiers that specify minions and/or allies. Minions are categorized as temporary and permanent minions.

Minions can be commanded manually to move to specified locations, target enemies, or open chests. Some minions have associated command skills that can be used by the player.

Permanent minions

Permanent minions are minions with an persistent cost, usually a spirit reservation. Permanent minions will revive themselves automatically if no other allied minions have died recently.

Temporary minions

Temporary minions are minions with an upfront cost, usually mana. Temporary minions will not revive themselves on death.
