Greater Lightning Bolt is functionally similar to [[Lightning Bolt]], but does 3.5x more base damage.
Greater Lightning Bolt cannot trigger itself.
Currently, the game will crash if Lightning Bolt's cooldown is lowered to 0 using {{il|Temporalis}} due to infinitely proccing itself, unless it is linked with {{il|Archmage}} and {{il|Lifetap}} to give it a cost.
When equipped while the [[Necromantic Talisman]] keystone is allocated, it will not cause minions to trigger the Greater Lightning Bolt on their critical strikes; however, it will still trigger the skill from your own critical strikes despite the other stats no longer applying to the character.

The Lightning Bolt Skill granted by the Choir of the Storm Unique Amulet has been renamed to Greater Lightning Bolt to differentiate it from the Skill granted by Staves. Triggered Greater Lightning Bolts are now unable to trigger a subsequent Greater Lightning Bolt if the first was a Critical Hit. Greater Lightning Bolt now deals roughly 3.5 times more base Lightning Damage compared to Lightning Bolt.
