Dual wielding refers to the state of wielding one hand weapon in each hand.
Mechanics
Dual wielding provides a multiplier to attack speed and addtional block chance.
The hand used will alternate unless otherwise specified when using a skill that can be used with either equipped weapon. The hand/weapon used will determine the skill's calculations. If one of the equipped weapons is incompatible with the skill's requirements, only the compatible weapon will be used.
Certain weapons cannot be dual wielded, or have restrictions to dual wielding:
- A spear can only be dual wielded with a shield.
- Two wands cannot be dual wielded.
- Two traps cannot be dual wielded.
- A wand/trap and a melee weapon cannot be dual wielded.
- Two sceptres cannot be dual wielded.
- A sceptre in the main hand can only be dual wielded with a shield or focus.
If the Giant's Blood keystone is allocated:
- Two staves cannot be dual wielded.
- A staff and a wand cannot be dual wielded.
- A staff and a melee weapon cannot be dual wielded.
