Culling Strike (also known as culling or cull) is a property that causes hits to instantly kill enemies that are below a certain threshold of life based on their rarity.

Mechanics

Culling strike is an on-hit effect that automatically kills the target if their life is brought below a certain percentage of life after receiving damage from that hit. A hit cannot cull if the damage kills the target. Damage over time cannot cull.

Culling strike threshold
Enemy rarity Cull threshold
Normal 30%
Magic 20%
Rare 10%
Unique 5%

A hit that is evaded or dodged cannot cause a culling strike. Culling strike ignores any other source of damage mitigation. Culling strike ignores energy shield.

Certain monsters with scripted death animations cannot be culled.

The effect of culling strike is not considered dealing damage to the target, and will never count towards overkill damage.
