This template flags a statement that appears to be based on conjecture or is speculative in nature.
Usage
Place this template after a statement to indicate that it appears to contain guesswork. This is often used to flag claims that have no apparent way to be verified, leaving it to other editors to decide whether the claim should be altered or removed. This template may also be used to highlight problems with article prose that is worded to avoid making a definitive statement, such as "It appears to be the case that..." or "Such and such is probably..."
The article this template appears on will automatically be added to Category:Articles that appear to use guesswork.
Statement...{{Guesswork}}
A reason can be specified using |reason=
. This replaces the tooltip text with the stated reason.
{{Guesswork|reason=What is this claim based on?}}
