A Reforging Bench is a crafting bench that allows three items of the same base type to be destroyed, creating a new item with similar properties. This process is colloquially referred to as "3-to-1".

Acquisition

The Reforging Bench is unlocked after handing in The Hammer of KamasaThe Hammer of KamasaThe smith may not remember higher
pursuits, but the hammer does.
to Oswald in Act 3. Doing so will unlock the bench in all towns as well as the hideout.

Mechanics

Input items

The three destroyed items must meet the following criteria:

  • The items must be of the same rarity.
  • The items must have the same base type.
  • If the item has variants (e.g. Shrine Sceptre), all of the items must be of the same variant.

Output item

The new item will inherit the following properties:

  • Rarity
  • Base type (and variant)
  • Item level of the lowest item level input
  • If the item is a waystone, add +1 to tier, up to Tier 15
