Dual wielding refers to the state of wielding one hand weapon in each hand.
Mechanics
Dual wielding does not provide any inherent stat bonuses.
The hand used will alternate unless otherwise specified when using a skill that can be used with either equipped weapon. The hand/weapon used will determine the skill's calculations. If one of the equipped weapons is incompatible with the skill's requirements, only the compatible weapon will be used.
Certain weapons cannot be dual wielded, or have restrictions to dual wielding:
- Spear and flails cannot be dual wielded with any weapon.
- A player cannot dual wield two wands, sceptres, or traps.
- A wand or trap and a melee weapon cannot be dual wielded.
- Sceptres can be equipped on the off-hand with any other one-handed weapon, but can only be equipped with an off-hand equipment if equipped on the main hand.
